Permanent position, 36.5 hours per week.


We are looking to recruit a friendly, motivated, and hard-working individual to join our HR team advising the Campus and Commercial Services Group.


The HR Administrator role will form an integral part of an established team and will provide an exciting and challenging role for someone who wants to join a fast moving, progressive organisation.


There will be a requirement and expectation to attend the office 4-5 days per week during the initial introduction and training period.

Flexible hybrid home working options will be available following this.


No previous HR experience is required, training will be provided however experience of working in a busy administrative environment and as part of a team are key.

JOB PURPOSE
To provide an effective and efficient Human Resources service as part of the CCSG HR Team. To administer the day-to-day processes with respect to recruitment. To provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, supporting departments with any HR processing issues.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

  • To produce a timely and accurate range of letters, ensuring that letters reflect the appropriate terms and conditions and comply with university policies and legislative requirements for salaried members of staff and variable workers.
  • To input data accurately onto the HR systems.
  • To initiate workstreams relating to the University approval to appoint process ensuring that the relevant financial approval has been sought for each vacancy processed by the team.
  • To accurately maintain a log in which the progress of recruitment is detailed ensuring that issues can easily by identified by senior colleagues within the team.

  • To advise on, or escalate queries, to the relevant individuals/ teams, e.g., immigration, payroll, resourcing as appropriate, using knowledge and understanding of wider HR processes.
  • To undertake all responsibilities with high levels of respect, discretion, and confidentiality and within the scope of the role to ensure that university policy and procedure in relation to GDPR and Equality legislation is adhered to.

Other

  • To liaise with the HR Support Services and senior colleagues in the team to resolve any errors identified.
  • To maintain and develop own knowledge of HR policies, processes and guidance as directed by senior colleagues within the Team.
  • To undertake any other administrative duties commensurate with grade, such as administering JE process, assisting with freedom of information requests.
  • To work flexibility, supporting other areas within the CCSG HR team, as required.
