Our Basingstoke based client is a well-established SME with a warm and friendly atmosphere and stable, supportive team. They have a new vacancy for a Finance Manager, which has arisen following retirement.

Working directly with the MD and General Sales Manager,this role is an integral cog to the smooth running of the office.

Key areas of responsibility will be finance, as well as day to day office management looking after month-end management accounts, cashflow, forecasting, payroll, HR, VAT and HMRC.

This role will suit an experienced individual with a good sense of humour and flexible approach, who enjoys variety and being part of a busy team.

What will the Finance Manager role involve?

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management;
Government reporting, VAT Return;
Management Accounts and Reports;
Monthly/Quarterly/Year end close;
Payroll Preparation, PAYE & NI recording;
Maintain Fixed Assets and monthly Stock Control Management;
Assist in Annual Budget Preparation;
Assists with, and help organise and audit the company's systems, databases, and procedures;
Office management including health and safety and management of office insurance contracts;
Ad hoc duties when necessary.
Qualified ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience with a broad level of accounting experience;
Excellent knowledge of accounting terms and concepts and understanding of finance regulations and legislation;
Strong analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail;
Strong Excel skills and knowledge of SAGE 200 would be an advantage.

20 holidays + statutory (increasing each year to a maximum of 28 day + statutory);

Standard 37.5 hour working week and is 100% in the office. Flexible and/or parttime hours also considered for this role.
