You will be part of a team that delivers a valuable service that makes a vital difference to infants and young children.


We can offer you in full time, or part time hours on a permanent basis with the support of continued professional development.

You will be part of a wider Multi-Disciplinary Team within Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) that provides innovative and comprehensive assessment and intervention to the Devon Community

  • To manage a caseload of infants and children with complex Speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) using evidenced based practice to assess, plan, formulate, implement and evaluate interventions in a variety of settings (individually and/or in groups and as part of a multidisciplinary team)
  • Provide clinical support and supervision to the less experienced SLT's in the team
  • To work with the Clinical Team Manager to coordinate the clinic and oversee the day to day caseload management
  • Participate in the provision of student placements.
  • To coordinate the team audit and monitoring of outcomes for interventions and report to locality lead
  • Using a strengthsbased approach; ensure clinical effectiveness through the use of evidencebased interventions, goalbased, collaborative practice and routine outcome measures
  • To promote and support participation of service users across the service
  • Participate in clinical audits and clinical research as appropriate
