Description

The Domestic Abuse Act requires the City of York Council to ensure appropriate and safe provision of appropriate accommodation for victims of domestic abuse and their children, as part of which the authority is undertaking the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) accreditation.


The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance Project Coordinator will develop, lead and support implementation of the nationally accredited DAHA framework in York.

The successful applicant will support the local authority housing teams to embed policy and practice that ensures they identify and respond to domestic abuse earlier and with greater efficiency so that victims/survivors can achieve safety and housing security.

This is a 2 year fixed term post which will:

  • Review all City of York council Housing service areas against the DAHA accreditation framework.
  • Identify and scope the work needed to achieve accreditation.
  • Create a prioritised work plan to work towards accreditation
  • Deliver the work plan to achieve implementation of the nationally accredited DAHA
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role.

Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
