We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our administration unit. The Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazard (RCE) Directorate is a large department supporting a wide-range portfolio of work.

Our services encompass various critical areas, include general consultancy (RPA, RWA, NIR etc), professional and occupational level training, dental X-ray protection services, laboratory services, instrument testing, and radon and radiation dosemeter processing.

As an administrator, you will support the department through general administration and business support.

Responsibilities section:

The job holder will be required to carry out a selection of but not all, of the following:

Essential Criteria:

Essential

Substantive experience in business and administrative support

Demonstrable ability to supervise others

Experience of effectively working with a range of office software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams

Full clean UK driving license. Must be willing to travel within the UK in support of RCE activities

Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines; able to prioritise own workload as well as that of others

Demonstrable ability to manage own time and prioritise workload. A clear ability to multi-task

Desirable

Relevant qualification in business and/or administration

Knowledge of the range of radiation protection services provided from RCE and how these are delivered
