This is an exciting opportunity to assist and help to develop the new service Enhanced Reconnect.

The Enhanced Reconnect (ER) service builds upon the Reconnect programme as an enhanced pathway of care.

Enhanced Reconnect is the NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE/I) response to the management of high complexity and high-risk offenders.

The ER service will work in collaboration with partners, including those from across government to ensure that individuals that have been identified as high risk to the public and have complex health needs that may impact on their risk of reoffending.

This may include, but is not limited to, violent and sexual offenders, terrorist act offenses and those at risk of terrorism.

This risk must be related to a health need.

At present the funding is only for the two year fixed pilot with an evaluation set to take place at the end of the two years.

As Reconnect is well established in the South West already and Enhanced reconnect being part of the NHS Long Term Plan we are very hopeful that funding will become recurrent.
