Description

Technical Design EngineerPosition Overview

  • Design of façade systems from concept to completion. This is to include, basic design, budget preparation and Gantt chart production, for timely and efficient product lead times.
  • Ability to analyse buildings in detail for items such as slab deflection, building sway and longterm creep for suitability of product.
  • Attend design meetings to assist customers with product capabilities.
  • Attend sites to carry out analysis of fabrication/installation for compliance to manuals and produce detailed and accurate reports
  • Provide technical support to all staff and customers for all SAS products. This may cover such things as fabrication issues, installation issues, analysis of suitability of products etc.
  • Produce and update Manuals of SAS products. General assistance in day to day running of the department. Attend test facilities to assist with product testing.

Technical Design EngineerPosition Requirements

  • An intricate understanding of the workings of facades, including drainage, thermal analysis, structural analysis, etc. Good communication skills and ability to discuss products calmly and clearly. Ability to use AutoCAD LT
  • Ability to use programs such as Inventor and/or 3D CAD, Revit, Nastran, WinIso and Logikal desirable.

Technical Design EngineerPosition Remuneration

  • Competitive salary depending upon experience Company Pension scheme after 3 months of employment. 25 days holiday PA.
Monday - Friday with a 1-hour lunch break

  • Salary dependent on experience
