Job description:


The role of 'Commercial Lead, Coverage, ESMCP' will sit within our contract management team and will focus on a single, complex and high-value network and infrastructure services contract, which has strong interdependencies with the rest of the ESMCP portfolio.


The role encompasses business as usual, tactical and strategic commercial contract management and involves extensive communication with a broad range of external and internal stakeholders across a range of seniority.

The role holder will have the opportunity for leadership and management of more junior members of staff.


Locations


Your time spent on official duties at workplace locations other than your contractual office such as supplier, customer or partner locations required to perform your role is included in the 60% attendance.

Person specification:


  • Provide expert commercial advice to the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme, including to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide commercial and contract management of a complex, missioncritical and multibillionpound contract
  • Undertake and take ownership of anticipated multimillionpound contract variations
  • Drive quality commercial outcomes that deliver value for money via supplier negotiation, change management and structured contract management
  • Take responsibility for driving forwards contract management best practice, including data reporting and process adherence
  • Drive benefits realisation including commercial savings
  • Work collaboratively across a multidisciplined team to support and share best commercial practice and upskill internal businessarea stakeholders
  • Develop key strategic relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, and support the development of strategic supplier relationship management across the portfolio
  • Line management / task management of staff
  • Support the broader ESMCP and Home Office commercial teams with delivery of corporate objectives.
