My client, a global entertainment business based near
SHEPHERDS BUSH STATION is seeking an
FINANCE ASSISTANT to join their growing business.

This organisation produces TV shows for the likes of Disney+, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, HBO and the BBC.


THE ROLE

  • Carrying out the daytoday accounting for a number of subsidiary companies
  • Processing all accounts payable invoices and staff expenses
  • Supporting the Head of Finance with the monthend process, including preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing standard monthend journals, including fixed assets, accruals, payroll
  • Preparing and maintaining production trackers detailing monthly revenue and cost of sales calculations and balance sheet positions
  • Collaborate with the production accounting team, and preparing the relevant journals
  • Assisting with the Group consolidation process for the production companies including reconciling intercompany positions
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Submissions for production tax credit incentives (including the UK Film Tax Credit and High-End TV Tax Credit)
  • Helping to establish and implement an effective control environment and suggesting improvements to aid the development of effective controls and processes

THE IDEAL PERSON

  • 23 years experience within accounts/finance environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel (pivots/lookups)
  • Experience in general ledger processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable/ flexible approach and ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
  • Experience in TV production/media industries beneficial
