Milk Education are seeking to appoint SEND Learning Support Assistant to work within a Specialist Secondary School from January 2023.

The children in this setting are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural difficulties, therefore, requiringsupport from SEND Learning Support Assistants, who are confident deescalating challenging behaviour when shown.


For the role of SEND Learning Support Assistant, you do not necessarily need to have any relevant qualifications,you could have any of the following backgrounds:

  • Sports Coaching
  • Care Worker
  • Army Cadets
  • Psychology graduate
  • Tutoring children with SEN
  • Youth Worker
  • Working with exoffenders
  • Any previous experience with challenging behaviours

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in Youth Centres or Sports Clubs;
  • Previous experience with challenging behaviour;
  • A calm but positive personality;
  • Skills to empower young people to make them believe they can achieve;
  • Excellent listening skills;
  • Maths and English GCSE as a minimum.
