  • Student Support: Ensure safety, deliver personalised assistance, and implement individual education plans. Foster independence and promote selfesteem while supporting personal care needs.
  • Curriculum Enhancement: Assist in developing and delivering learning activities, prepare resources, and create an inclusive learning environment. Engage students with SEMH in the curriculum using innovative strategies.
  • School Collaboration: Uphold school policies, participate in training, and collaborate to create a supportive environment. Contribute to the school community and engage in professional development.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or relevant strengths in SEN education.
  • Strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and successful support strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students.
  • Awareness of sensory sensitivities and creating a sensoryfriendly environment.
  • Familiarity with SEMHspecific interventions and approaches (desirable).
