You will join St. James's Place on a temporary 8 week contract during the summer of 2024.


During this time you will work in a specified division, this will give you full exposure to that division and help you understand how it interacts with other areas of the business.

On completion of your 8-week Undergraduate Summer Internship, we would aim to fast track you into one of our graduate programmes on completion of your degree.

About the Role:In your 8-week internship you will become part of the Corporate Finance division and work within the Partner Finance team.

You'll be joining a team of 10, who are all based at head office in Cirencester.


The team you are joining (Partner Finance) exist to support Partners of SJP by providing loans to the Partnership Our Partner Loans provide funding to purchase clients, for marketing purposes or for a Business Sale & Purchase.


The Partner Lending Intern role will be varied as no lending proposition is the same The varied needs of our partnership will be reflected in this role and you will get the opportunity to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be involved in many tasks during you time with us including (but not limited to):

  • Analyse Business Sale & Purchase performance ahead of arranging settlement of second (future) stage payments, ensuring payments made by contractually required dates.
  • Preparation / issue of lending deeds and documents, ensuring compliance with relevant authorities
  • Working with external lenders to minimise use of SJP funds
  • Liaise (as necessary) with the SJP Partnership at all levels to aid conversations around lending

You'll have a real interest in how corporate business works and want to get involved in a variety of tasks involving how this division supports our partnership with their exciting plans to grow and develop.
