Hillside Animal Sanctuary are recruiting for a _
Visitor Centre Assistant _

Full time - 40 hours per week over 5 days (incl of weekends & bank holidays)

We are looking for staff to join our dedicated Visitor Centre team at Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary, West Runton, NR27 9QH, to assist in the smooth running of our Animal Friendly Vegan Cafe, Gift Shop and Holiday Accommodations during the months of March through to October.

Duties include but not limited to:_

Cafe - Serving customers, stock control & replenishment, preparation of hot drinks, maintaining cleanliness, record keeping, ordering & occasional collection of orders.

Gift Shop - Front of house, serving customers, completing various visitor paperwork, maintaining cleanliness, stock replenishment.

Holiday Accommodations - Cleaning, housekeeping, laundry management, record keeping.

Mail Order - Picking & packaging orders

Skills/Personal Qualities Required

Must possess a genuine interest in animal welfare and willing to promote this and the work of The Sanctuary
Good standard of English and Maths
Excellent written and verbal communications
Excellent customer relation skills with a friendly approach
Able to work effectively within a team environment and alone
Possesses a "cando", logical, flexible and practical "handson" attitude to work
Able to carry out manual handling tasks
Takes pride in work and ensures duties are carried out efficiently within required timeframes
Excellent timekeeping and attendance to work
Full driving licence & own transport essential due to rural locations
Experience of working in similar roles will be an advantage although full training will be given
