The Role:


We have a new opportunity for two Streetworks Auditors to join our Southern Water team in Chatham working on site and in the office.


You will play an active role in ensuring the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of the proactive leakage repair programme.

At the heart of this role is a drive to continuously improve the process.


Working in conjunction with our Senior Supervisors, Construction Managers and Operational field teams, you will oversee the enablement and own the dependencies raised on all jobs.

Jobs need to be delivered right first time. Ensuring effective planning, organisation, and communication, as well as compliance with all Health & Safety protocols and CDM Regulations.


These are some of the activities you will be involved in:

  • Ensure jobs are planned and carried out in accordance with relevant Health & Safety legislation, identifying risks and minimising adverse impact
  • Communicate any plans, changes & new work requests aiming to minimise disruptions
  • Ensure works are compliant and permits are issued correctly
  • Ensure teams are complying to streetworks code of practice and HAUC
  • Report issues and rectify issues on site
  • Conduct audits on the teams site set up and correct where necessary.

We need you to have HAUC spec knowledge and an understanding of water quality regulations, experience of water mains construction and a desire to maintain the highest level of health and safety compliance.
