The Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow is under new management and now operating within the Trafalgar Theatre's group. It is an exciting environment with a variety of shows, plays, music and comedy as
well as some community events and we have very exciting opportunities and plans for the future of the venue.
About the Role
- Assist the General Manager in planning, organising and coordinating the departmental operation, including managing the Front of House, Bar and Box Office rotas
- Act as a member of The Pavilion's Duty Management Team, ensuring our audiences have an outstanding experience in the venue.
- Oversee the retail operation of the bars, as required, assisting the teams to ensure the operational standards are maintained.
- Undertake opening and closing duties within your main department of work.
- Signing off tills and record banking within your main department of work and other departments as required.
- Assist the General Manager in the employment, induction and training of Front of House, Bar and Box Office staff to meet the required standards of service.
- Supervise and assist in:
- Stock taking of liquor and kiosk stock as required
Prompt and accurate service of liquor and beverages as required.
Achieving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, comfort and maintenance
Delivering pre-service briefings to all staff, emphasising show or event requirements and special promotions.
- Maintain security of liquor and food stock.
- Action issues recorded in the Duty Managers' handover diary or show reports.
- Take total operational responsibility of duties delegated by the General Manager, ensuring effective communication between management and staff at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and liquor license legislation.
- Ensure correct closing down procedures is adhered to at the end of each shift, with particular emphasis on liquor stock.
- Attend regular meetings as required and complete any activities and training requested in a timely and efficient manner.
