School Overview
The White House School is an independent specialist Primary setting for students between 6 and

11 years of age.

The school opened in January 2023 and is growing steadily.

The school is a multi-disciplinary team that provides specialist education to children who have either had previous school placements breakdown or have been unable to find a suitable school placement previously.


Purpose of the role


This newly created role will support the work of the three strong leadership team in ensuring good outcomes and extremely high levels of compliance with all applicable processes, regulations and requirements.


The role holder will be required to complete tasks in digital format, as well as analogue and manual tasks, to support the work of the SLT.


This role will work alongside the school's existing administration post to create seamless and collaborative processes to increase the impact of the work from SLT by increasing the volume of administrative output.


Key accountabilities and duties

  • Provide effective and timely administrative support to school leaders
  • Work with teaching staff to collect and proof reports as required
  • Complete and return paperwork to external partner agencies
  • Complete paperwork in preparation for annual reviews
  • Complete minutes and records of meetings
  • Support the work of the school administrator and provide cover for their duties if required
  • Support with the general effective administration of the school under the direction of the senior leadership team
  • Positively respond to inbound telephone, mail and electronic communications on behalf of school leadership
  • At times, greet visitors and maintain a safe and effective process for signing visitors in and out of school
  • Provide first aid to students as required, if first aid training is agreed and completed
  • Liaise with external contractors and make appointments as directed by Headteacher
  • Manage student issues within agreed protocols.
  • Undertake such other reasonable duties as the Headteacher may require from time to time and review this Job Description annually with the Head Teacher.
  • Participate in the School's appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate
  • Take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others
  • Pursue the achievement and integration of equal opportunities throughout all The White House School's activities

  • Attend staff development events as appropriate
  • Industrial/commercial and academic updating of professional and technical skills
  • General administration relevant to the role
