SEPTEMBER 2023 APPRENTICE INTAKE


WEC Group, established for over 45 years and one of the North West's leading & multi award winning engineering, fabrication and machining companies, is looking to recruit enthusiastic Welder/Fabricator Apprentices to join our busy and expanding team based in Blackburn, Lancashire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated, confident, and driven individuals, who wish to progress within a successful, dynamic and rapidly expanding business looking for progression and career development, whilst working towards a Level 2/3 Apprenticeship.


JOB ROLE


We are looking to recruit several Welder/Fabricator Apprentices to join our team at our brand-new state of the art Engineering academy in Blackburn, Lancashire for our September 2023 Apprentice Intake.

Our award-winning apprenticeships offer long term career opportunities, competitive starting salary well above national minimum Apprentice rate, a level 2/3 qualification depending on knowledge and coded welder training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • You must have a clear interest in becoming a welder/fabricator
  • You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm for the role
  • You must work well under pressure and take instructions well
  • Ideally GCSE grades 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Good attention to detail
  • Keen, motivated and reliable

Salary & hours
Monday

  • Thursday 8am5pm, Fri 8am 2pm, 40 hours per week
£6.50 per hour

Start date - TBC September 2023
