Leisure Assistant Level 2, Lagoon Leisure Centre, Full time, Temporary 12 months, Grade 2: £21, £22,572.62 p.a
OneRen is a vibrant and ambitious culture and leisure charitable company that delivers services and experiences across Renfrewshire.

Originally established in 2003 to manage and deliver sport and leisure services in 9 venues on behalf of Renfrewshire Council, in 2015 the charity was expanded to include the delivery of cultural facilities and services, increasing our asset base to 64 venues and over 20 outdoor recreation sites.

Our vision is to improve the health, well-being and quality of life of local communities through accessible arts and culture, leisure and sporting opportunities.

We deliver a year-round programme of activities and services that meet the needs of our diverse audience groups.

As well as supporting the economic regeneration and civic renewal of Renfrewshire, we are developing a cultural portfolio intended to raise the profile of Renfrewshire as a national and international cultural and tourism destination.

We are looking for motivated and positive Leisure Assistants to provide expertise, advice and support to our customers.

An exciting, challenging and fulfilling role, you will ensure our customers have the best experiences possible whilst using our facilities.

To do this you will use your people skills to interact, offer advice and help, coach and give as much encouragement as possible, at the same time promoting customer uptake of other services, activities and promotions available within our facilities.

You will be responsible for:
- ensuring safety of bathers and customers
- setting up and taking down of equipment
- assisting supervision/coaching of groups
- general cleaning which may entail the use of cleaning equipment

Possession of a current NARS Pool Life Guard qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, however, training towards this qualification can be provided to applicants who demonstrate the potential to qualify within 8 weeks of the date of appointment.

Experience within a Leisure Centre / Swimming Pool facility is also desirable as is possession of an Assistant Swimming Teacher Certificate and First Aid Certificate.

The interview will include a swim test.
