You will be responsible for the administrative support of Postgraduate doctors within the Learner Support Team to support the monitoring of locally employed doctors and their performance, health & conduct at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust in line with Health Education England and GMC guidelines.


We want the right person in this role, with the right skills, behaviours and attitude as well as a range of personal competencies.


This role will have its challenges, so we will need you to demonstrate that you can manage in difficult situations and under pressure.


It is vital that you have thorough understanding of the purpose of a learner support network and be able to communicate professionally and empathically with all learners and educational leads.

You will be responsible for the day to day administrative processes and confidential data collection, manage outlook diaries, manage information systems and scheduling of appointments for the Learner Support Team.

You will have access to confidential and sensitive information for Trust Learners.

You will respect the strict confidential nature of this post and must maintain good relationships with existing learners to provide a positive, helpful and solution focused approach to issues and concerns.

Communicate professionally and effectively with a wide range of staff to support our locally employed doctors as part of our covid recovery support plan

Book appointments, accompanying as required, witness and accurately notate discussions at these appointments.

Diary management and administrative duties for Associate Director of Medical Education and Learner Support Manager

Prepare documentation and take minutes in complex case conferences and meetings

Record and manage data information systems

Quality Assurance of service/own work

Ensure all data complies with Data Protection act and both Trust and University policies

Manage own workload, work independently deferring to Manager when deemed necessary

Undergo annual appraisal and be responsible for maintaining a PDP and participating in the annual review process

Be ready to act at short notice to help resolve last minute problems
