What You Need to Know
The Senior Q
HSE Advisor is a crucial role to the business, and this role is a great opportunity for someone experienced in Q
HSE to join our fast paced and growing team based in our Skene facility in Westhill.
There will also be a requirement to work with the
HSE function based in Great Yarmouth, and providing on-site support for
HSE to their personnel based in the Skene site.
What We Are Looking For
The Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental ("Q
HSE") Advisor is responsible for the day-to-day interface with both internal and external customers supporting a wide range of critical Q
HSE functions including compliance to and coordination of the integrated business management system to ensure effective, efficient, and safe delivery of products and services.
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
General
- Ensuring sufficient resources allocated to Q
HSE activities to support day to day operations and projects. - Developing local Q
HSE plans, strategies and objectives. - Supporting new work bid proposals
- Ensuring sites are fully compliant
HSE
- Ensuring that all incidents are recorded and investigated, with lessons learned implemented.
- Documenting inspections and developing corrective action plans and ensure follow up on such plans.
- Developing and presenting relevant
HSE training including new hires and establishing Safety Representatives - Monitoring and reviewing use, provision, maintenance and effectiveness of all safety equipment including PPE
- Communicating
HSE standards to workers at work sites to ensure compliance with Proserv and industry standards. - Ensuring
HSE reporting is completed on time and accurately and reports prepared reports as necessary. - Performing accident investigations
- Contributing to Global
HSE policies. - Coordinating Contractor Management for any contractors
- Assisting in Equipment and heavy site load outs
- Attending morning Toolbox Talks to facilitate good communication and partnership working on
HSE matters. - Ensuring Proserv's environmental obligations are met, including legal compliance of all effluent discharge and monitoring of waste streams.
- Ensuring all mechanical lifting operations are carried out in a safe manner in line with applicable legislations such as LOLER.
- Assisting in the creation and review of Risk, Manual Handling and COSHH assessments
- Promoting site safety culture and understanding of Proserv
HSE standards and Q
HSE policies and
HSE committee.
- Setting up an effective Internal Audit function to ensure development of and adherence to the Proserv Global Business Management System.
- Proactively managing all submitted Non-Conformances ensuring those that warrant it have an effective RCA (Root Cause Analysis) carried out
- Encouraging the use of organisational tools provided to identify specific Opportunities For Improvement
- Managing external audits for clients and certifying bodies
- Working with site Supply Chain and Global Supplier Quality Manager to ensure Supplier audits are carried out
- Monitoring Quality performance measures for the site and drive discussion to ensure negative trends are addressed and an attitude of continuous improvement is demonstrated.
Qualifications
Essential
- NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or other equivalent
HSE discipline - Lead Auditor Training in
ISO:
9001,
ISO:
14001,
OHSAS:
18001 and/or
UKAS:
1702- Formal training in Safety Management and incident investigation training
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Science, or a related field.
- Member of Chartered Quality Institute
- NEBOSH Diploma (Occupational Health and Safety) or other equivalent
HSE discipline - LOLER Competent Person trained
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum Five (5) years' experience in a Q
HSE role with proven experience of managing competing priorities - Operational or technical background related to Subsea/Oil and Gas Equipment
- Pressure Directives and working with pressure
- Performing incident investigations.
