This is an exciting opportunity to take on a newly developed role within the Swansea Bay Community Wound Care service.


We are looking for an individual who is keen to develop this new post to its full potential within the service.

The individual must have a passion for wound care and providing high quality, patient centred care.

The individual will be required to travel between sites in order to undertake clinics.

Health promotion is a fundamental part of this role, therefore excellent communication skills are vital.

The Community Wound Care Service is a 7 day service providing wound care across the Swansea Bay footprint.

The service undertakes diagnostic assessments, and works closely with other community services to ensure optimal treatments and outcomes for patients.

We aim to provide gold standard wound care through professional development and evidences based practice.

The post holder contributes to assessment and implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.

They will supervise other staff and promote the delivery of high quality care, and carry out specific delegated clinical and wound care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency.

The individual will be expected to work within their limits at all times and escalate concerns accordingly.
