MEMBERSHIP MANAGER
Illuminate are delighted to be working exclusively with a charity who are a Learned Body and Membership Society in hiring a Membership Manager.
Our client conducts educational and outreach activities, organises events and conferences, produces a respected industry journal, and supports professionalism within their industry and that of their members.
WHAT ARE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Support the Membership Committee as secretary preparing agendas, papers and minutes and ensuring actions are followed through in a timely and accurate way.
- Manage the registration process and all reporting requirements with the Science and Engineering Councils and Society for the Environment to maintain the client's licence and support the Stakeholder and Business Development Manager in providing data forannual reporting requirements.
- Manage the member welcome process, including issuing welcome letters and (where relevant) certificates and digital badges to new members.
- Manage the renewals process to ensure prompt collection of membership subscriptions and devise and implement followup campaigns to minimise lapsers.
- Manage the monitoring of continuous professional development (CPD) and ensure compliance with current policies and procedures.
- Manage the recruitment of volunteer assessors to increase numbers and support existing and new assessors including organisation of training sessions.
- Maintain and report on membership data and monitor the use of the CRM by all staff to ensure continuing quality of data.
- Other tasks to support the CEO and Stakeholder and Business Development Manager as necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent skills in use of at least one membershipspecific CRM, including with producing reports and exporting data.
- Strong time management and project management skills.
- Experience of working within a membership organisation.
- Ability to work in a small team with mínimal direction.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Commercial focus and understanding.
- Experience of registration schemes, especially engineers (EngC) (desirable).
- Experience of working with volunteers (desirable).
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a track record in membership and registration and who is highly competent in the use of CRM systems.
