A two-week training period will take place in their office in Paddock (daytime hours). On completion this role will be remote working.Hours of work: 17.45hrs hrs rolling shift pattern 4 on - 4 off.
Salary:
£33k-£35k based on skills and experience + company benefits.
You will have a background in customs, logistics or supply chain, ideally in an FMCG environment. In-house training will be provided, along with support to gain professional qualifications.
Job purpose:
Key responsibilities:
- Consulting with importers, exporters and other applicable parties to obtain mandatory information for import and export entries, ensuring all appropriate paperwork for each consignment is received to enable customs entries and clearance checks to be completed in a timely manner.
- Interacting with customs authorities and other Government agencies to address any queries or issues which may arise during customs clearance.
- Consulting with customers, ensuring they are kept informed of clearance status of consignments and resolving any customer queries that arise.
- Supporting other team members in understanding issues and potential solutions
- Handling enquiries from colleagues & customers relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications & Regulatory Requirements, Duty Rates and Documentation Requirements
- Regularly updating self, colleagues and customers of any HMRC and Government Agency regulations and changes
Skills, know-how and experience
Preferred:
- Demonstrable knowledge of ocean and road freight imports and exports.
- Proven capability of dealing with customs procedure codes and specialist customs procedures, including SCDP and Transit.

Strong people skills proving the ability to build good working relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to think quickly.
- Initiativetaking, a selfstarter who gets things done with minimum supervision and can execute in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands, using initiative to prioritize tasks and workload to meet deadlines.
- Fluent Polish/English Speaker.
- Technical/professional qualifications:

- HMRC compliance
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel
- Timely completion and accuracy of HMRC and agency declarations
- Institute of Export "Level 4 Customs Practitioner Award" or equivalent desirable
- Communications and relationships with customers and colleagues
- Experience using Customs systems (e.g., CDS, CNS, Destin 8, Sequoia) essential
- Compliance with company processes and procedures
