Accommodation Support Worker - Manchester, United Kingdom - Seven Resourcing

Seven Social Care are currently looking for an Accommodation Support Worker to start work in Manchester. This is an interim post, initially for 3 months with the view to extending.
You will be working to support families and single people whilst in temporary accommodation to assist them to be rehoused into permanent accommodation.
You will support families with any issues that arise whist in T/A for example with benefits, school places, utility bills.
You will be expected to loan work out in the community, visiting both Single people and families to support with move on in to their permanent accommodation and any issues which might arise e.g., benefits schools, bills.
Responsibilities:
Experience of dealing with clients presenting with complex needs for example: clients with active or recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, clients who are past serious offenders, clients with active mental health conditions, clients with active physical health conditions.
Experience in dealing with safeguarding concerns and will take necessary steps to escalate concerns to management and adult safeguarding agencies.
Multi agency work is crucial, and the role holder will be able to develop strong working relationships quickly particularly with the different partner accommodation schemes we look to move homeless clients into.
The role holder will be able to undertake lone working responsibilities making visits to clients staying in homeless B&Bs and Hotels throughout Manchester.

Experience of working with the homeless and housing sector
Compliance:
Current enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK.
Hours: 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday 9am
- 4.30pm
