The Role

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, operation guides, installation instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather technical information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the documentation.
  • Review and edit documents created by others to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
  • Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance the understanding of technical information.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing documentation to reflect changes in project specifications, equipment, and processes.
  • Use document management systems to organise and maintain document archives.
  • Provide support during technical presentations and training sessions, as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the water industry.

About You

Skills:


  • Expertise in creating clear, concise, and accurate technical documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with PDF creation and editing software.
  • Skilled in creating and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Understanding of general engineering terms, parts, and functions.
  • Preferred knowledge of the water treatment industry.
  • Ability to understand and document engineering processes and specifications.
  • Familiarity with documentation standards such as IEEE, ISO, and other relevant industryspecific guidelines.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in technical writing or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality documentation.
