The job.
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Policy Advisor within GBRTT
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop, coordinate and deliver major policy priorities across GBRTT including for GBRTT leadership.
You'll also be responsible for identifying opportunities for the team to deliver more effectively on its key objectives as we transform the rail sector.
Supporting strategic leadership and the Chief of Staff on cross-cutting issues, you'll identify and test appropriate policy options and deliver effective and timely advice on key decisions.
Through your role, you'll lead the development, optioneering and delivery of policy priorities for the organisation, enabling us to deliver high-profile sector change efficiently.
This is key to helping us to mitigate issues, leading collaboration with teams and stakeholders to overcome these challengesWhat you'll bring.
- Demonstrable experience of developing evidencebased policy proposals in the public or private sector
- Strong interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to interact and maintain credibility with people at all levels across the business and industry stakeholders, including at Executive level
- Proven ability to synthesise complex information, understand and identify risks and opportunities.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple pressures at the same time.
- Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with senior internal and external stakeholders on reform/change projects
- Ability to work across teams to secure wider input from internal experts who are nominated to support this project.
What does our recruitment process look like
This role is available on a Fixed Term Contract and Secondment basis until 31st March 2024.
