About Our Client:

A leading G15 Housing Association.


Key responsibilities:

  • Be the conveyancing specialist within the Home Ownership team; provide training and support to staff when required, offering daytoday supervisory and escalation support on complex cases to the Resale and Legal Officers.
  • Be the single point of customer contact for Shared Ownership Resales and manage the process end to end in a timely, compliant and customer friendly manner. Manage external suppliers to aid delivery where necessary
  • Responsible for processing all staircasing, Right to buy (RTB) and Right to Acquire (RTA) transactions. Ensure targets are met on Home Ownership sales products such as Resales, Staircasing, RTA and RTB and provide excellent customer service throughout the process. Ensure that all sales data is recorded correctly in the database for staircasing, RTB and RTA and that all files meet auditory requirements.
  • Lead on the processing of the assignments, consents and queries relating to divorce, marriage, death, joint to sole ownership, sole to joint ownership, adding new owners to the lease, joining of residents, companies and other tasks relating to the legal administration in respect of a freeholder's obligations.
  • Responsible for ensuring new accounts are setup on Northgate, including where necessary the liaison with other stakeholders and teams. Also manage the end of old accounts.
  • Responsible for all amendments to existing accounts including amending rents and ground rents following staircasing and liaising with leasehold frontline officers to minimise arrears
  • Lead on case management of formal and informal lease extension requests (including DIYSO properties) within legislative guidelines including providing ad hoc information, receiving notices, instructing solicitors and surveyors, liaising with customers and maximising revenue. Deal with escalated cases.
  • Liaise with lessees and leasehold front line officers to provide information about amendments and carry out amendments including those related to transfers, staircasing, death and name changes in a timely manner.
  • Explain multiple options for lessees who are selling with a low lease.
  • Provide information on enfranchisement and carefully project manage each case.
  • Respond to legal enquiries and seek further advice when necessary.
  • Act as the sole point of contact for the families of deceased lessees. Provide information about the legal process of wills and our requirements relating to the matter. Provide information on the account, sales, staircasing, leases and guide customers through possible options requiring in depth knowledge of processes across the business.

The Successful Applicant:


  • Experience of working in a target driven customer service environment
  • Staircasing and Resales experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to handle difficult discussions professionally and sensitively
  • Able to manage a diverse, busy workload in fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a fast learner, willing to work independently and undertake selflearning where appropriate
