About the part time HR administrator role:

We are looking for a passionate people person who is organised, meticulous with a strong interest in data to join our HR team as a part time HR administrator.

You will be vital in providing a mix of HR administrative duties, project coordination and wider employment relations matters.

No two queries are the same so flexibility and quick-thinking is key. You'll need to be confident, an excellent communicator and highly IT literate.

Due to the nature of the role of part time HR administrator, you'll also need to be trustworthy, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities as part time HR administrator:
You'll be the first point of contact for all general enquiries to the HR department.

Your main responsibilities as the part time HR administrator will include:


  • Provide administrative support to the HR Advisor including day to queries and escalating where necessary
  • Providing assistance to the HR Advisor on project work, maintaining the HR communication calendar and coordinating communications from the team
  • Provide assistance to the HR Advisor with employee relations matters including disciplinary process, appeals and grievances
  • Creating regular and ad hoc reports on the HR system using excel Issuing template letters to employees as and when required
  • Assisting with updating and reviewing policies and procedures
  • Managing and updating relevant HR systems
  • Minute taking at Disciplinary and Capability Hearings
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as and when required
  • Maintain digital copies of employees' records
  • Off boarding: leavers paperwork, managing exit surveys etc
  • Responding to any queries on HR policies
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all employee queries
  • Updating the HR System with accurate information

About you, the successful part time HR administrator:

  • Working towards level 3 CIPD qualification
  • Strong experience with HR Administration
  • Competent use of Word including experience of mail merging, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Evidence of excellent attention to detail and total confidentiality
  • Demonstrable interest in and/or experience in gathering, reporting and performing analysis on people data
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight time deadlines
  • Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to spot where efficiencies can be made in the administration process
