Description

Animal studies are a critical aspect of medical studies to support breakthroughs in experimental research and to ensure the safety of new treatments prior to human studies.

As an Animal Technician, you will be committed to the responsible and appropriateuse of animals for various different projects.


Working closely with the In Vivo and Immunology teams, you will maintain high standards of animal care (predominantly rodents and rabbits) and assist in experimental procedures.

Joining this small and friendly team will give you the opportunity to be trainedin a range if techniques, and participate in independent animal welfare projects and publications.


  • A few years' experience in animal technology
  • Home Office License training (13 OR A-B)
  • Experience in the care and maintenance of IVC animals
  • A flexible approach to work, and happy to work in a team
This is an initial 6-month contract position with the possibility to extend. You will also be expected to participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota, with generous compensation.
