Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group are currently representing a market leading, established company in their search for a Commercial Accountant, based on the outskirts of Chester. This location offers good network links from M53, M56and A55. Our client offers hybrid working and in return for a proactive individual, who is keen to progress this Commercial Accountant role can offer a clear path to develop your career as well as playing a key role in their continued growth.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
  • Month end and year end preparation
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments
  • Production and analysis of group KPI information for internal stakeholders
  • Production of Group Reporting and Management Information
  • Assist with external audits
  • Assisting the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Supporting in adhoc tasks, duties and projects

Skills/Experience

  • CIMA/ACCA part qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience within an analytical management accounting role or commercial accounts role
  • Ideally have Advanced Excel including Pivots Tables and VLOOKUPS
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Thrive in a busy environment, ability to work under pressure during busy periods hitting key deadlines
  • A good team player supporting the other individuals around you
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent attention to details

Salary/Benefits
- £30,000 to £35,000 - plus study support if required

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Free parking


  • Monday to Friday

  • Hybrid working (3 days in office/2 days working from home)
