A new opportunity has been created for an Investment Analyst to support the Investment Business Development team in assessing and implementing expansion into new asset classes supporting LGR's businesses ambitions as well as contributing actively to otherrelevant LGR related investment projects as required.


In this role you will work within cross-functional teams across Risk, PRT, LGIM, Finance etc and will support senior members of the team in analysing and proposing investment and risk framework for new asset classes and, support the requisite implementationand internal governance within the approved group risk appetite and then oversight external manager, assess the portfolio performance management and provide market updates.


What you'll be doing

  • Providing research, analysis and support in the implementation of new asset classes for LGR UK business, ensuring compliance with the internal risk, capital and ALM frameworks.
  • Supporting the team in the onboarding of external managers, helping in the design and drafting of new investment guidelines, review of IMA, set up of reporting requirements, etc.
  • Oversight of external mandates: portfolio performance management, market updates and MI for senior stakeholders
  • Ensure the smooth and correct functioning of all the different mandates under the supervision of the team, taking into account relevant risk and capital frameworks as well as portfolio guidelines.
  • Liaising with teams across the Group, including LGIM, Risk and Reporting teams, to implement strategic projects and support impact analysis on P&L and balance sheet management.
  • Working closely with LGIM and LGR Risk analytics teams to ensure the correct flow of data and its accuracy from external managers to LGR.
  • Working closely with the MA actuary, structuring team and internal / external managers to determine solutions for modelling assets for the MA book.
  • Supporting senior members of the team in the production of documents and proposals to present to the relevant committees.

What you'll be doing

  • Outstanding quantitative or financial modelling skills
  • Good understanding of Insurance company balance sheets including both capital and profit reporting regimes
  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of fixed income valuation concepts and models
  • Strong capital market knowledge
  • Good understanding of all major asset classes
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Organised and a self
- starter to drive projects and maintain momentum

  • Experience of managing strategic projects and implementation
  • Excellent analytical skills
