To support and enhance that growth, we are seeking an outcome-driven, motivated, and customer-focused Solicitor or Senior Solicitor.
The role is within the commercial litigation team.
The team deals with a wide range of commercial litigation including disputes between shareholders and directors, partnership disputes, commercial fraud, and contract disputes.
The team has a niche specialism in High Court employment litigation including injunctions for misuse of confidential information, unlawful team moves, breach of restrictive covenants and breach of contract.
The Dispute Resolution department as a whole deals with four main areas of work including commercial, property, regulatory and contested probate.
Your main duties will include:
- Assisting the team with dealing with a wide range of litigation cases with a focus on commercial and employmentrelated litigation.
- Regularly update clients as to the current situation of their case including regular updates on costs.
- Attending court and conducting advocacy on behalf of clients or instructing counsel where appropriate.
- Be involved with business development activities organised by the department or office.
- Identify and follow up new business opportunities.
- Delegate appropriate work to solicitors / paralegals / trainee legal executives and supervise the completion of the work.
