We are recruiting a
Quality Assistant to support our client's business in achieving World Class Operations status by:

Analysing and mapping out processes to improve their effectiveness and efficiency
Ensuring a robust document control system is implemented and maintained, including engineering drawings
Assisting with the setting up and collection of performance data (such as Non-Conformance Reporting)
Coordination of the collation of customerspecific documentation
Carrying out internal & external audits & presenting results
Assisting the Continuous Improvement & Quality Engineering in Kaizen projects

Quality Engineer Experience and Qualities:

Qualityorientated and customerfocused with a quality background within a demanding and bespoke engineering, and construction SME, with a focus on process improvement & document control
3 years+ in a low volume/bespoke manufacturing environment with a proven track record of process improvement, document control, and use of 'lean' tools, and Kaizen
Experience in providing quantitative data to help inform decisionmakers to display accurate and meaningful measures of equipment and processes
Excellent IT and numeracy skills. A keen eye for detail with a rightfirsttime mentality
Able to communicate effectively and build good working relationships with office and shop floor teams. Able to work alone under mínimal supervision and work closely with other departments/teams

Quality Engineer Desired Experience, Qualities, and Qualifications:

Lean improvement facilitator skills, with a good understanding of problem-solving (e.g., 8D Ishikawa), Set up reduction (SMED), Workplace organisation (5S), able to read engineering drawing and work drawing packages (such as AutoCAD)
Formal training in: Len techniques, 6 Sigma, Problemsolving, draughting packages
Degree (or similar) qualification in an Engineering/Technical field
