As the UK's regulator for the energy industry, Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household in the UK can rely on a safe and environmentally sustainable energy supply.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Communications Officer.
As a key member of the team, you will:
- help tell the story of how Ofgem works to protect energy consumers
- manage the Ofgem blog, maintaining the editorial calendar and supporting authors to develop high quality posts
- publish corporate and policy content to agreed deadlines, adding value for our online audiences
- take a user first approach to content development.
What you will be doing
- reviewing, writing, editing and publishing web content
- supporting communications campaigns
- collaborating with colleagues to ensure content development meets editorial standards and aligns with business objectives and user needs
- supporting content transformation on
- developing your content design skills
What we need from you
As Digital Communications Officer you will have:
- excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
- experience using content management systems and knowledge of HTML
- analytical skills that can identify trends and create actionable insight
- demonstrable attention to detail
- familiarity with accessibility and publishing standards.
- the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
Ideally, you will have experience working in government communications, with a good understanding of social media and integrated communications campaigns.
