UWC Atlantic is the founding College of the UWC global education movement.

Its home is the beautiful 12th Century St Donat's Castle in South Wales, where students from over 90 countries come for two years to live and work together in a dynamic learning landscape.

Our community extends from the resident students and employees who live and work here; to our alumni, parents, Governors, neighbours, businesses, contractors, VIPs and government - and almost everyone else in between.

Local or global, the one thing they all have in common is that they are our guests.

Whether they stay for a day, or for two years of study, we will ensure that everyone receives the warmest of welcomes and that their experience of UWC Atlantic is always a happy, positive and memorable one.

That is where every single member of our Welcome Team excels - and where you can make the difference.

Putting the College, our students, residents and campus life at the heart of all its operations, the Welcome Team provides a 24/7/365 service, acting as a first point of contact for all campus users, ensuring an excellent and consistent experience and an approach that meets the needs of the wide variety of students we receive.

You will play a key role in representing the face of the College, delivering excellent pastoral and wellbeing support to students, and helping residents, visitors and guests with any queries they may have.

The team is also responsible for monitoring campus security and access control throughout the year, ensuring the safety of visitors and students who reside here.

Your communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively at all levels, often with students who do not have English as their first language and are a long way from home.

You should be able to work collaboratively, efficiently and well under pressure, supporting colleagues across the College, as well as having experience of working with a variety of different systems and procedures.

A calm and empathetic nature is essential in this role, as you will be the first point of contact for any wellbeing support students require during the night, alongside supporting any issues / emergencies.
