We are looking for someone who can make a difference and drive service improvement - a person with the skills to actively engage with stakeholders both internal and external on a wide financial agenda.

This role will lead on the on the construction of financial planning and analysis.

The post holder will also support the Associate Director of Finance and Senior Team in development of the organisations financial strategy, annual departmental plan and (Integrated Medium Term Plan).

The post holder will have the key responsibility for providing vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the organisations forecasting and financial planning and analysis processes.

Applicants should be CCAB qualified with significant post qualification experience operating at a senior level within a Finance department

  • The production of an accurate monthly budget holder report monitoring performance against delegated budgets, including variance analysis, annual and ad hoc costing work
  • To support and advise budget holders on all financial matters, including investigating financial variances
  • To produce monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure they are correctly reflected in the monthly financial reports
  • Monitoring achievement against the Financial Plan on a timely basis by producing reports from the ledger and undertaking detailed analysis
  • To identify areas of potential budgetary savings
  • To make any necessary complex budget adjustments to the Finance ledger in line with the Financial Plan
  • Coordinate the month end checklist process to ensure all tasks are actions, completed and collated to control the integrity of the DHCW financial position
  • To generate the DHCW budget reports, in accordance with the agreed timetable
  • Maintaining a monthly checklist of budget holder responses to an audit acceptable standard.

  • Responsible for the managing the production of monthly finance reports, including performance against delegated budget and analysis and reports on expenditure variances
  • Monitor achievement against the DHCW overall Financial plan on a timely basis by producing reports from the finance ledger and undertaking detailed analysis
  • Responsible for the calculation of monthly accruals and prepayments where required for ledger input and reporting purposes
  • Responsible for identifying areas of possible budgetary savings
  • Responsible for all complex budget adjustments to the Finance Ledger in line with the Financial Plan
  • Responsible for providing all costing analysis for Business Cases
