Irwin and Colton are delighted to have partnered with Jersey Electricity to recruit a Health, Safety & Sustainability Business Partner.

This company is the sole provider of electricity within Jersey, and as such play a critical role in daily life on the island.

This role covers an extremely diverse range of risks from construction, power generation, and metering through to the corporate environment.

As a result, this role would suit an ambitious and dynamic individual, who will support the team in the delivery ofthe health, safety, and sustainability strategy, ensuring the successful implementation and best practice across the company.

Responsibilities of the
Health, Safety & Sustainability Business Partner will include:

Offering expert health, safety, and sustainability advice at all levels, including external suppliers
Leading on audits, site and facility inspections and undertaking accident and incident investigations where necessary
Arranging, coordinating and delivering health, safety and sustainability training
Producing performance reports, incident and investigation reports and other safety related documentation, in a concise and timely manner
Involvement in new projects and companywide initiatives, continually seeking areas for continuous improvement

The successful
Health, Safety & Sustainability Business Partner requires:

Proven health and safety experience, ideally within utilities, energy, civils or a related industry
Strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations
NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) and ideally hold or working towards a NEBOSH Diploma and hold a relevant membership of IOSH
Excellent communication skills, with a drive to continually learn and improve within a dynamic environment

A trainer / assessor qualification would be desirable
