Site Chemist Manager


Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Site Chemist Manager to join a prestigious client within the Chemical industry leading the way in recovery, recycling, and sustainability.

The Site Chemist Manager position is offering a competitive salary, great company benefits and will be based in Cheshire within short reach of the M56 and M6

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Planning of incoming and outgoing waste and responsible for safe storage
  • Ensuring all chemists and operatives are working safely and wearing correct PPE
  • Risk assessments and Health and safety site compliance
  • Provide accurate documentation for all waste on site using stock database
  • Lab analysis testing hazardous and nonhazardous waste
  • Training and mentoring analytical chemists, new hires, and junior chemists
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures (training provided)
  • Working with Site manager and Stock manager to prioritise and delegate tasks to ensure site runs safety and efficiently

Experience & qualifications

  • 4+ years in Senior Chemist/ Site Chemist Manager position or similar
  • Qualified with MSc or BSc in Chemistry (or similar scientific degree)
  • Previous waste management experience (Desirable)
  • Chemical waste and storage expertise
  • Knowledge or experience of using integrated Management systems
  • ADR/CODG Awareness/licence
