About the role:
We're looking for positive, passionate people to help combat the criminal activities that plague the insurance industry, our successes directly contribute to our customers premiums, keeping AXA a market-leading insurance provider.
In this role, you will be responsible for investigating all potentially fraudulent Commercial Motor claims from cradle to grave whilst maintaining effective and speedy investigations and demonstrating financial savings.

What you'll be doing:
- Detecting and preventing fraud against the Group to include suppliers, customers and third parties, acting individually or in concert as organised fraudsters
- Managing a portfolio of suspected fraudulent claims from basic to complex, organised fraud rings and managing the same until completion (repudiation or settlement) whilst working to the lowcost operating model
- Actively participating in the strengthening of our counterfraud capabilities through suggesting and devising new processes, procedures, initiatives, systems and training to the business, with assistance from Senior to ensure consistency
- Ensuring adherence to the CFU Fraud strategy on fraud case handling (investigation, repudiation, recoveries and sanctions process) and keep up to date with developments in this area
- Being fully competent in handling all elements of the claim process to include personal injury, credit hire, liability, fraud and litigation
About you:
What we're looking for:
- Practical claims experience essential, Counter Fraud experience desirable and Personal Injury claims experience desirable
- PC literate (Word, Excel, Access) with excellent communication and analytical skills
- Educated to A Level or equivalent standard is preferred and willingness to partake in the ACFS or Counter Fraud Investigator Apprenticeship
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, perceptive and keen attention to detail is essential
- Knowledge of all pertinent legislation i.e. Fraud Act, POCA, RIPA, DPA, FoI etc is desired
- Competent in the use of investigation tools such as TraceIQ, Land Registry, social media etc
- Good understanding and knowledge of relevant Case Law and the impacts on fraud types
- Negotiation skills and use of tactics in managing injury claims
- Detailed end to end knowledge of claims process including quantum assessment and litigation procedures
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
