We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Omics Group at the Nuffield Department of Population Health. The post holder will carry out research work on neuropsychiatric diseases, reporting to Dr Najaf Amin.


The main focus of the research projects is to carry out a big data analyses using classical statistics and machine learning.

The post holder will be developing data processing and analysis pipelines needed for big data 'omics analyses and provides guidance to junior members of the research group including research assistants, PhD students, and/or project volunteers.

To be considered you will hold (or be close to completion of) a PhD/DPhil.

Sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes and ability to manage own academic research is essential for this post.

Experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project would be desirable.

This is a full time role (part-time would be considered) for 2 years.
