An Secondary school setting in north Bolton is looking for a strong Youth Worker to join their team for this term, on a full-time basis, with the potential for this to become a permanent role if you get on well.

This school caters for pupils of secondary ages, and the role will be to support pupils who are close to being excluded, so, as a Youth Worker,you will face challenging behaviour, with part of your role being to manage this in and out of the classroom.

As a Youth Worker working with pupils with challenging behaviour, some from vulnerable backgrounds, you must show, if not previous experience in a similar setting, the ability to be able to manage challenging behaviour and situations.

The school is rated "Good" by Ofsted, has a very supportive SLT and staff team and has good transport links and parking facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing behaviour in the class, supporting the class teacher
Working with small key groups outside of the class
Helping to manage behaviour between lessons and during break hours, on occasion

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience within a school/working with young people
