Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

Reed Finance is partnered with a hugely successful, global manufacturing client based in Belfast, in the appointment of a temporary, full-time
Financial Accountant.

Working closely with the senior finance team, you will enjoy managing a varied role in a high growth manufacturing environment.

This contract is expected to last between months.

Reviewing & developing the Finance procedures as necessary including month end processes, contractual and legal requirements, and Internal Control mechanisms ensure best practice is followed
Continued development of management information as required by the Leadership Team
Production and review of the monthly management accounts in accordance with Group requirements and timescales
Review of all balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy
Assistance with yearend audit
Assistance with production of the annual budget, including regular reviews of performance, highlighting areas of concern, and working with departmental managers to improve profitability
Monitor and review departmental costs and performance against agreed plans and budgets, taking prompt and appropriate action to correct any negative variances
Production of statutory accounts and other documentation for the legal entities as directed by Group
Involvement in various other projects, ranging from the from review of job costing standards and shopfloor performance dashboards, to the preparation of Business Plans for Capex Projects.

Criteria:

Qualified accountant with minimum 35 years relevant industry PQE.
35 years' experience producing Financial & Management Accounts
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Ability to work to strict, timepressured deadlines
Good organisational skills and ability to multitask
Experience of VAT for both UK and ROI
