Description

To carry out general and skilled horticultural and grounds maintenance duties for the Green Care Section predominantly for the council's Housing Garden Scheme

Providing a gardening service to housing tenants.
Under their direction assist more senior horticultural staff to carry out more complex operations.
Carry out all work as directed and to the standards as defined in the Grounds Maintenance and Horticultural Specification.
When and where necessary, carry out any driving duties required in undertaking of the duties in association with the completion of all the horticultural operations detailed below.
Carry out amenity grounds maintenance and horticultural duties using a full range of hand tools and mechanical horticultural appliances e.g. cylinder mowers, rotary mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, chainsaws and any other machinery and equipment, present or future, with the appropriate training and guidance etc.
To be responsible for the security and care of all tools, equipment and mechanised plant whilst carrying out their duties.

Salary:
£11.18 per hour
