The Resident and Business Support service is a high-profile service, which undertakes the vital role of collecting the main sources of income that the council needs to fund its services as well as paying Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support to residents on a low income.

We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated individual to join our award-winning Resident and Business Support Service.

What we need from you:

Previous experience of working in debt recovery, in revenues, benefits, or exemplary proven experience in customer service, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

You will be self-motivated, able to work under pressure as part of the Housing Benefits Overpayment team.

If you already have experience of working within Revenues and Benefits or and debt recovery you are likely to join as a Revenues and Benefits Officer.

Alternatively, if you do not have any such experience, you will be recruited into a Revenues and Benefits Assistant with full training being provided to enable you to meet the standards required to become an Officer.

What we can offer:

The opportunity to agile work either from home or from our fantastic new flagship council offices; ongoing training and development; hugely varied, interesting and rewarding work; fantastic career progression opportunities; and a real team spirit in an innovative, responsive, and growing service area.
