Their main client base are OEM Manufacturers, installers and market contractors within the refrigeration, air conditioning and industrial sector.


Role

  • To provide technical support within the HVAC industry.
  • To help promote services, products in order to provide the correct solution
  • Keep up to date with the latest regulations and directives in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry
  • Support internal and external sales team

Areas of responsibility

  • Keeping this knowledge uptodate through meetings, product training.
  • Train new personnel and generally provide advice on the technical aspects of engineering, installation, safety, suitability of the company's products and national and international regulations;
  • Dealing with air conditioning and refrigeration spare parts in a swift and timely manner
  • Facilitate technical support with warranty claims with suppliers
  • Provide technical specifications in AC & refrigeration for bespoke enquiries from customers
  • Refrigeration part specification for contractor/field service customers and for OEM customers

Day to day activities

  • Support Customers & internal staff on all products
  • Advise on alternatives and replacement options
  • Equipment selection for refrigeration condensing units, coolers, expansion devices, and ancillary line components and for air conditioning systems and ancillary items
  • Spares selection for air conditioning units and for refrigeration condensing units, coolers and line components
  • Fault finding for refrigeration and air conditioning units
  • Air conditioning unit coding, spare part finding and pricing
  • Talk through the programming of controllers for refrigeration, heating, humidifying and process control
  • Handle customer complaints, particularly from a technical support point of view and from an Engineer stand point
  • Office based work but may include visits to customers, suppliers, shows or training courses
  • Supplier product training can be provided
  • Understand the main principles of operation for the products in their portfolios of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Control, Heating and Electrical
  • Ideally need to have extensive refrigeration, air conditioning or airtowater systems experience/knowledge
  • Previous experience of a refrigeration, air conditioning or airtowater service/installation engineer would be a bonus
  • Must be a strong, coherent, concise and patient communicator
