Job Title;Production Planner
Salary;£23,000-£24,000 per annum (9-12 months FTC)
Shift;Monday to Thursday8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8:30am-3:15pm
Location;Rugby, Warwickshire
The Production Planner Role;
- Scheduling of work orders into the production schedule
- Printing drawings and distributing to the relevant departments
- Labour routing on system, run calculations and checks
- Maintain control over stock items through Perpetual Inventory checks
- To liaise with other departments on a daily basis, challenging their involvement with stock control management
- Complete tasks within the Order Queue Management function
- Schedule orders of samples and component parts
- Order stock and maintain stock levels from various locations and external suppliers to meet customer demand
- Liaise with colleagues in other sites to ensure accurate stock information
- Assist in costing the assemblies and making any amendments with the required deadlines
- Control and maintain production plans in accordance with material and resource availability
- Use Excel to create and update various spreadsheets for reporting purposes
- Organise preshipment samples to be sent before delivery
- Assist the Inventory Controller with Goods Return Authorisations when required
- Assist with the preparation for and completion of the annual stock take
- Carry out internal requests for stock checks and report findings within set timeframe
- Investigate stock discrepancies within a set timeframe and report findings
- Continual improvement in reduction of stock discrepancies
- To provide cover for the Planning Manager in all aspects of the role
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Planning Manager on an ad hoc basis, including holiday/sickness cover within the department

- Strong stakeholder management skills including collaborate, inform, influence and negotiate
- Strong knowledge of operational processes and systems.
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Solutions orientated with ability to analyse, creatively problem solve and follow through.
- Quality and systems driven with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly numerate with excellent proven analytical skills and ability to forensically interrogate data
- Strong team spirit and positive, proactive attitude
