Shifts - 8pm-8am

Salary:
£10.42/hour

Follow instructions as requested by the Manager, Nurse in Charge or the Care Team Leader.

Ensure that the premises are kept secure at all times.
Ensure that any information collected during the performing of duties is kept confidential.
Keep all residents' records secure so that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Ensure economical use of the Home's resources and minimizing of any wastage by all staff.
Maintain the safety of all residents, visitors and staff at all times.
Ensure that the good name of the Home is upheld at all times.
Treat all residents and visitors to the Home with respect.
Liaise with the visitors and external agencies in a professional manner.
Maintain high standards of accommodation so that the Home is presentable, tidy

and clean at all times.

Ensure there are no Health & Safety hazards which might put residents or visitors at risk.
Report as a matter of urgency any abuse or neglect of residents to the Nursein Charge or the Manager.
Provide a supportive service to relatives liaising with them on an on going basis.

Ensure that good communication is maintained with residents and relatives.

Encourage relatives to maintain regular contact and offer assistance as necessary.

Provide a high standard of order in the Home and an atmosphere suitable for

the physical, mental and spiritual needs of residents.

To take immediate action on all complaints in accordance with the Home's

Complaints procedure.

Provide all aspects of care to the residents allocated to you by the Sister-in-Charge, in accordance with each resident's individual care plan.

Participate in and organize diversional therapies and social activities on a regular basis appropriate to the needs of the residents.

Encourage self-help and independence upholding the rights of each individual resident.

Prepare and serve beverages as required.
Perform escort duties as requested, ensuring all relevant information is passed on to the appropriate person at each stage of the escort.
Ensure those residents who require assistance with feeding are appropriately supported. Ensure meals are served on time and assist in the serving as required.
