Job Description:


Experian Consumers Service is a business area within Experian looking to help consumers make better financial choices using our knowledge and Bureau Credit information.

We're looking for a Product Owner to help shape our longer term Billing & Payment strategy.


Leading your Product Development team of Engineers, Product Analyst and QA leads you will act as the conduit of work between the wider business and the Development team.

You will be working with IT, product management, and business stakeholders to ensure our Billing and payment solution effectively addresses the business and consumers needs to pay for their premium subscription products.

You'll help refine and priorities tasks within a team's backlog, decide what is or isn't important, lead on the overall design of the billing product (what it does and how it works) and ensuring it is working to a high standard.

In this highly collaborative position, the Product Owner will strategize the best approaches to continue improving our Billing product alongside the Billing Strategy Manager.


Qualifications:


Relevant Skills/ Experience (if you have some of these then great):

  • Managing relationships within teams, building trust with other analysts, developers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, servicing team, product teams, legal and compliance teams.
  • Present and communicate with senior stakeholders, covering audiences with differing levels of technical knowledge, as well as both internal and external stakeholders
  • A background in either (1) payment industry, (2) analytics or (3) have experience in a software Product Owner role.
  • Great interpersonal skills, working collaboratively, leads by example, motivates, and inspires the trust of others.
  • Experience working in an agile team, with agile planning tools, such as Jira, DevOps/TFS, Aha etc and an understanding of agile software methodologies.
  • Cando attitude and enthusiasm to overcome obstacles and get the job done, even if it means solving problems outside of your defined role.

Ideal but not essential:


  • Experience with different aspects of payment provider integrations: card payment processing, card acquirers, online banking, and alternative payment methods.
  • A good understanding of the consumer credit industry, in whatever form you have.
  • Experience writing user stories/tickets for developers to implement. Working with third party suppliers.
  • Product Owner certification (CSPO or equivalent)
