The Fuel Account Executive will be part of the team responsible for the daily operation of the Wholesale department sales desk.

Reporting to the Head of Wholesale, this role involves close liaison with our external customers such as Fuel Distributors and Resellers and internal departments such as Supply, Logistics and Credit teams.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers and will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

The role will involve high levels of customer service, order and price management and excellent negotiating skills.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily running of Wholesale sales desk, issuing live and contract prices, inputting sales, quotes, contracts and associated tasks.
  • Providing high levels of customer service and to be able to build and maintain relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Daily management of orders, and liaison with Credit teams to ensure seamless process between ordering and delivery/collection.
  • Coordinate running of customer contracts and FFP agreements; liaison with customers to arrange collection/deliveries and ensure these are completed in a timely manner.
  • Regular liaison with the Supply team to ensure availability of product for sales.
  • Regular liaison with the Confirmations team to resolve any queries on a timely basis.
  • First point of contact for any account related enquiries.
  • Proactive outbound calls to customers, pricing/negotiating sales, etc.
  • Ensure any orders awaiting confirmation are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure any orders requiring credit clearance are dealt with on a timely basis.
  • Assisting with month end processes and compliance procedures when required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS):

  • Previous experience in commercial sales/administration from an oil distribution business segment is desirable.
  • An ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Can build professional relationships with a wide range of customers and at all levels in order to secure repeat business
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
