Position Overview:


The Senior Administrator - Dealing & Settlements plays a critical role in overseeing and executing the dealing and settlements operations within the organization.

This position requires a highly detail-oriented, experienced, and proactive individual who can effectively manage trade execution, settlement processes, and maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

The Senior Administrator collaborates closely with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless and efficient dealing and settlement activities.


Responsibilities:


Trade Execution and Confirmation:


  • Facilitate the execution of trades, which may include equities, bonds, derivatives, commodities, or other financial instruments, as per instructions from traders or portfolio managers.
  • Coordinate with brokers and counterparties to confirm trade details and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Verify trade documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Settlement Processing:


  • Manage the endtoend settlement process for all trades, including prematching, trade enrichment, and reconciliation of trade details.
  • Monitor and track settlement instructions, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of securities and funds.
  • Collaborate with custodians, clearinghouses, and other financial institutions to facilitate smooth settlement processes.

Risk Management and Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with internal risk management policies and regulatory guidelines throughout the dealing and settlement process.
  • Implement controls to identify and mitigate operational and settlementrelated risks.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to dealing and settlements and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Trade Reporting:


  • Prepare and submit traderelated reports to relevant regulatory authorities as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, settlements, and related activities.

Reconciliation and Issue Resolution:


  • Conduct daily, monthly, and periodic reconciliations of trade and settlement data to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve traderelated issues and exceptions in coordination with internal and external parties.

Team Leadership and Training:


  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior staff members within the dealing and settlements team.
  • Ensure that team members are wellequipped to perform their responsibilities effectively.

Process Improvement:


  • Continuously review dealing and settlement processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and risk reduction.
  • Implement process enhancements and automation initiatives to optimize operations.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Additional certifications like CFA, ACCA, or equivalent are beneficial.
  • Proven experience in dealing and settlements operations within the financial services industry, with a focus on different asset classes.
  • Indepth knowledge of trade execution, settlement processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, trading platforms, and settlement systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Leadership capabilities with the capacity to guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles and compliance standards.
  • Adaptability to evolving market conditions and industry changes.

Salary:
£26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
